Review today, yaaaay! Today saw the launch of Bleach London's new range of home hair dyes in Boots, big cheer from all us hair dye fanatics. After being inspired by the ever gorgeous Zoe's (from The London Lipgloss) blue locks, I decided to give the dyes a try and do my own blue ombré.
I bought the shade 'Washed Up Mermaid' which is an aqua blue colour, the swatch on the back of the bottle looked 'super cool.'
The dye is really easy to use, my only problem with it is that it doesn't come with gloves... I hate this about bottled dyes! (And it does look like a blue poo coming out of the bottle...) Thankfully, I managed to scrounge a pair of gloves when my flatmate was bleaching the ends of her hair, happy days! It probably took me about five minutes to get the dye in the places I wanted and then a 15 minute wait for the dye to take. I did leave it a bit longer than 15 minutes but who's counting eh?
After leaving it on, I rinsed it with lukewarm water, didn't use any conditioner or shampoo as I want the colour to last as long as possible & then blow dried it as normal. The colour took to my hair really well, and came out a lot brighter than I actually expected. I'm really happy with the colour!
The bottles are priced at £5 each, which isn't bad for 150ml of a quality dye! There are a whole range of colours from orange, pink, green, blue & white! They also have a toner kit, a bleaching kit and a dip dye kit, all priced at £7. Good bargain if you ask me!
So overall, the dye was really easy to use and the colour turned out amazingly. Ten out of ten for Bleach London ! I'd definitely recommend the dye and I can't wait to try out the rest of colours in the next few months.
